Privacy notice

Who is responsible

is the responsible party for the personal information this shop collects. Questions and requests about your information go to .

What we collect

When you order: your name, email address, phone number, company name and VAT number if you give them, your billing and delivery addresses, what you ordered and what you paid.

When you create an account or sign in: your name, email address and, if you set one, a password (stored only in a scrambled form we cannot read back).

When you ask us something: what you write in an enquiry or a quote request, with your contact details, and any logo or artwork you send for branding.

When you buy hosting or a domain: the details the registry needs to register a domain in your name, and the settings of your services.

While you browse: the products you add to favourites, compare or look at (recently viewed), linked to a random code in a cookie, not to your name unless you sign in. Our server also logs technical details of each visit, such as your IP address and browser, to keep the shop secure and working.

We do not collect card numbers: you pay on PayFast's page, and PayFast handles your card details.

Why we use it

To process, deliver and invoice your order, and to provide and renew the hosting you buy (the contract with you).

To answer your enquiries and quote requests, including branding proofs.

To keep records the law requires, such as tax invoices (the Tax Administration Act and the VAT Act).

To keep the shop and your account secure, and to prevent fraud.

To remind you about a basket you did not finish, and to tell you about our own products, as described below.

Giving us your details is voluntary, but we cannot take or deliver an order, or register a domain, without the details marked as needed at checkout.

Basket reminders

If you give your email address at checkout and do not finish paying, we may send up to reminders about that basket, within days. Checkout tells you this next to the email field. Every reminder has a link that stops them with one click. If you do not order, we delete the address days after your basket was last changed.

Marketing

We send marketing by email only to our customers, about our own similar products, or to people who have asked for it. Every marketing email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can also ask us to stop at any time. Order emails may show a few related products from our range.

Who we share it with

PayFast, to take your payment.

The courier that delivers your order (your name, phone number and delivery address).

Our suppliers and branding partners, where they make or brand your order (your order details and artwork, not your payment details).

Domain registries and registrars, for a domain you register.

The companies that host this shop and send our emails.

Our professional advisers and the authorities, where the law requires it.

Some of these providers, such as our email delivery service and Google, process information outside South Africa. We use only providers that are bound by data protection laws or agreements that protect your information to a standard at least as good as POPIA's.

We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

This shop uses the cookies it needs to work.

Session and security cookies keep your basket and sign-in working and protect forms. They end when your session does.

Visitor cookie (sf_vid): a random code that keeps your favourites, compare list and recently viewed products on our server. It lasts up to 400 days.

Theme cookie (shopflow_theme): remembers whether you chose the light or dark look. It lasts a year.

Cookie choice (sf_consent): remembers what you chose in the cookie banner. It lasts 180 days.

Analytics (only if you agree): Google Analytics counts visits and what is looked at, so we can improve the shop.

Advertising (only if you agree): Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta let us show our ads to people who visited and tell us which ads led to an order.

When you place an order and have agreed to advertising cookies, we also tell these services about the purchase from our server. We send the order amount and the products, and your email address and phone number only in scrambled (hashed) form, so they cannot be read. We use your information for direct marketing only as section 69 of POPIA allows, and you can say no at any time.

You can delete cookies in your browser. The shop still works, but your lists, theme and cookie choices start again.

How long we keep it

Orders, invoices and payment records: for at least 5 years, as tax law requires.

Your account: until you ask us to close it, then for as long as the records above must be kept.

Basket reminder addresses: as described under basket reminders.

Enquiries and quote requests: as long as needed to deal with them and any order that follows.

How we protect it

The shop is served over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored scrambled, staff access is limited to those who need it, and card payments happen on PayFast's page. If we believe your information has been accessed without permission, we will tell you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.

Your rights

Ask whether we hold information about you, and for a copy of it.

Ask us to correct information that is wrong, or to delete information we no longer need or are not allowed to keep.

Object to our use of your information, and stop marketing at any time.

Withdraw a consent you gave. This does not affect what we did before.

Complain to the Information Regulator if you are unhappy with how we handled your information: inforegulator.org.za.

To use these rights, contact . We may ask you to prove who you are first. Access to records is also governed by the Promotion of Access to Information Act; our manual under that Act is available on request.

Children

This shop is meant for adults and businesses. We do not knowingly collect information about children under 18.
