About

A quiet studio by the water

Still Waters Yoga

Nadine Olivier moved to Knysna from Johannesburg in 2015 after a decade in advertising and a long burnout. Yoga helped her find her feet again, and she trained as a teacher so she could share it.

Still Waters opened in 2018 in an old boathouse on Thesen Island. We now have four teachers, a timetable of more than twenty classes a week and a community that meets for sunrise sessions on the jetty in summer.

Kindness first

Your practice is yours. Rest whenever you need to, without apology.

Small classes

Fourteen mats at most, so every student is seen and helped.

Rooted in the place

The lagoon, the forest and the seasons shape how we practise.

The people you will deal with

Nadine Olivier

Founder and senior teacher

Busisiwe Tshabalala

Grant Hendricks
