Soul, jazz and township groove
Seven musicians, one sound, booked for weddings, festivals and corporate events.
Seven-piece soul and afro-jazz band
We met playing the shebeens of Orlando and learned our craft from the elders who played them first. Our sound mixes soul, jazz and the township rhythms we grew up on, and our shows are built to make people move.

The band
Soweto Soul Collective formed in 2014 when singer Nandi Dlamini, bassist Lwazi Mthembu and a handful of friends began jamming on Sunday afternoons at a shebeen in Orlando East.
Eight albums, three national tours and a lot of weddings later, we are still a band that plays because we love to.
We play the songs that raised us.
