About
The summit started in 2022 as a Saturday meet-up for twenty makers in a church hall in Orlando East. Organisers Lindiwe Khanyile and Zaid Patel saw how much people learned from simply comparing notes, and each year it has grown.
This year we welcome makers to the Soweto Community Arts Hall for two days of learning and trade. Tickets are priced so that a one-person business can afford to come.
Every session must leave you with something to try on Monday.
Subsidised tickets, free childcare and sessions in isiZulu, Sesotho and English.
The catering, the lanyards and the stage were all made by past attendees.
